The room at Avalon Ubud Castle & Spa was absolutely amazing! It was like stepping into a fairytale with its lovely decorations and cozy atmosphere. I felt soothed and relaxed just being there.
Personally, I found the secret passages and trap doors in the villas a little overwhelming. But hey, I understand that some people might find them exciting and adventurous.

The owners were extremely friendly and provided helpful information on nearby attractions. The hotel's design and architecture were impressive, with a unique combination of greenery and a sense of a castle. The swimming pool was a highlight and protruded from the building, allowing for a refreshing and scenic dip.
The hotel is located quite a distance from the bustling streets of the town, but the hosts were able to arrange taxis for guests. The cleanliness of the hotel could have been better, as some areas could use a spring cleaning.

We stayed at Avalon for a week-long vacation with our family, and it was absolutely amazing. The stunning river views from the hotel were beyond our dreams. The staff made us feel like part of the Avalon family, and we even got to play with their adorable husky puppies. The family feel and countless surprises made our stay truly memorable. The pictures don't do justice to this place, so be prepared to be amazed.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The view of Avalon is beautiful, with an amazing interior setting and a river by the massage beds and the yoga area. It's like being in a magical place where life is effortless and carefree, surrounded by lush gardens and a running river on the edge of the property. The massive rooms filled with lovely decorations and books are truly magnificent, creating an ambiance of fantasy.
Minor issues really, but the room lacked a decent mirror and didn't always have hot water for a shower.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. the staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist us. the food was fresh and delicious, and we loved the concept of ordering through the app and having the option to dine anywhere on the property. the grounds were beautiful, with stunning swimming pools and a peaceful atmosphere. the activity we booked was arranged quickly and was a great experience.
There were a few aspects that were not so great. the rooms lacked privacy, with thin sliding doors that allowed for noise and light to easily pass through.

We even got to play with some adorable husky puppies! the location by the river was perfect for enjoying a morning swim and a delicious breakfast. Plus, the hotel's unique architecture and amazing pool added to the overall charm of the place.
The food at the hotel did not live up to our expectations. Some dishes tasted like standard warung food, but with high prices.
